New Rochelle to receive almost $1.5 Million In housing grants
Mr. Congressman Eliot
Engel announced that the City of New Rochelle will be receiving $1,419,575 in financial
support from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development. Mr. Congressman Engel is the Ranking Member on
the House
Foreign Affairs Committee. Mr. Congressman Engel has championed energy
independence, affordable housing, real healthcare reform and education for all
Americans.
The source of the
grant comes from the Community
Development Block Grants that in short we say it as (CDBG), which allow states and local governments to increase or
widen possible housing in urban communities for low and middle income family.
Rep. Engel said,
“Housing is a essential and the additional we can do to assist people have sufficient
housing, the better off we all will be. These grant will help New Rochelle to get
better and get bigger housing for those who have the most need. This
